About the Role
- Study work orders, engineering drawings, blueprints, and materials to plan machining operations. - Set up CNC/VMC machines by installing and adjusting tools, fixtures, and attachments including 3-jaw/4-jaw chucks. - Load raw materials and components using hoisting/lifting devices when required. - Verify machine settings by measuring first-off components and sample workpieces. - Operate CNC/VMC machines to perform turning, milling, drilling, grooving, tapping, facing, and threading operations. - Monitor the machining process to ensure accuracy, dimensional tolerance, and consistent output quality. - Make offsets and adjustments in tool positions, cutting parameters, feeds, and speeds as necessary. - Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges. - Maintain accurate production reports, tool logs, and quality documentation. - Perform routine preventive maintenance of machines and ensure proper housekeeping of the work area. - Adhere to safety protocols, PPE usage, and company quality standards during all operations. - Communicate effectively with supervisors and maintain continuity across shift changes.
