About the Role
- Lead end to end technical development of automotive electronic products. - Define technical architecture, interfaces, requirements and development strategy. - Guide hardware, embedded software, controls, mechanical, validation and testing teams. - Review technical designs and ensure compliance with Customer and project requirements. - Act as the technical point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders. - Lead development of ECU / DCU / VCU and other automotive control units. - Define MCU, communication interfaces, sensors, actuators, power supply and I/O architecture. - Review schematics, PCB design, BOM, component selection and hardware design. - Support embedded software and model-based development activities. - Ensure CAN / CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, J1939 and other automotive communication requirements are addressed. - Analyse customer requirements and convert them into system-level technical requirements. - Define system architecture and HW / SW interfaces. - Prepare and review system requirements, interface specifications and technical design documents. - Perform technical feasibility and risk analysis. - Drive resolution of system level technical issues. - Lead ECU bring up, integration, and technical issue resolution. - Coordinate HW/SW integration and vehicle-level integration activities. - Support calibration, diagnostics, communication and application software development. - Analyse issues using tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, INCA, debuggers and other diagnostic tools. - Define and review DVP&R / DVVP strategy. - Lead verification, validation, integration and qualification activities. - Review test cases, test reports, defect analysis and corrective actions. - Support HIL, SIL, bench testing, environmental testing and vehicle testing. - Ensure product readiness for PPAP and SOP. - Ensure development follows applicable automotive processes and standards such as IATF 16949, ASPICE, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ISO/SAE 21434 (Cybersecurity), UDS / ISO 14229, J1939 and OEM-specific standards and requirements. - Support technical documentation required for audits and customer approvals. - Act as the technical interface with OEMs, Tier-I Customers and technology suppliers. - Participate in customer technical discussions, design reviews and issue-resolution meetings. - Evaluate supplier technical proposals and component solutions. - Track supplier technical deliverables and resolve technical dependencies. - Lead a team of engineers and assign technical responsibilities. - Support project planning, estimation, resource planning and technical risk management. - Track technical milestones and ensure timely completion of deliverables. - Mentor engineers and develop technical competencies within the team. - Coordinate with Program Management, Quality, SCM, Manufacturing and Development teams.
