About the Role
- Report to the Project Engineering Manager and support overall engineering execution and project delivery. - Assist in manpower estimation, work planning, forecasting, resource allocation, and effective utilization of engineering personnel. - Monitor engineering progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables in accordance with project schedules. - Lead and manage the preparation of engineering design deliverables in compliance with applicable codes, standards, client specifications, and quality procedures. - Ensure engineering deliverables are completed within the approved project budget and schedule. - Lead design reviews, technical evaluations, and risk assessments to ensure safe and optimized engineering solutions. - Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to incorporate inputs from all relevant disciplines into project deliverables. - Take ownership of engineering deliverables and ensure their technical accuracy, completeness, and quality. - Review and incorporate all approved project changes and modifications before issuing design deliverables. - Ensure all engineering drawings, documents, calculations, and specifications undergo proper checking and approval before release. - Develop engineering designs that meet technical, operational, safety, and client requirements. - Maintain quality and consistency of engineering documentation throughout the design lifecycle. - Allocate engineering tasks among team members to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution. - Supervise engineers, designers, technicians, and technologists, providing technical guidance and reviewing their work. - Review and approve engineering calculations, design documents, drawings, material specifications, and cost estimates. - Develop, update, and maintain engineering design standards, technical specifications, and design basis documents. - Participate in project review meetings and provide engineering support during project planning and execution. - Lead vendor meetings, technical clarification meetings, kick-off meetings, and design review discussions. - Respond to site engineering queries and conduct site visits to resolve technical issues when required. - Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, vendors, contractors, and internal project teams. - Ensure quality compliance and adherence to project schedules for all Civil and Structural engineering activities and deliverables. - Integrate Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) principles into engineering designs and project execution activities. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate safety, environmental protection, and sustainability into engineering solutions. - Conduct comprehensive engineering risk assessments to identify hazards and implement effective risk mitigation measures. - Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, company standards, and statutory requirements throughout engineering activities. - Promote a strong safety culture by monitoring EHS performance and enforcing safe engineering practices. - Provide EHS awareness and technical training to engineering personnel, emphasizing safe work practices and environmental responsibility. - Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering quality, safety performance, and operational efficiency. - Ensure the implementation of industry best practices in engineering design, project execution, and EHS management.
