About the Role
- Understand technical data, engineering specifications, and project requirements for procurement activities. - Coordinate with technical designers and engineering teams to procure equipment and materials required for project execution. - Communicate technical requirements and equipment specifications to suppliers and vendors. - Identify, evaluate, and select suitable suppliers based on technical capability, quality, cost, and delivery performance. - Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, delivery schedules, quantities, commercial terms, and packaging requirements. - Evaluate vendor performance and develop procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and operational efficiency. - Review contractual and legal obligations to ensure compliance with procurement policies and project requirements. - Coordinate and facilitate communication between stakeholders, project managers, engineering teams, and suppliers throughout the procurement process. - Ensure compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards during supplier evaluation and procurement activities. - Collaborate with vendors to maintain safety, environmental, and sustainability standards across the supply chain. - Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks associated with procurement activities and supplier operations. - Promote sustainable procurement practices by implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies. - Maintain procurement-related EHS documentation, records, and compliance reports. - Prepare and submit periodic reports on procurement performance, supplier compliance, and EHS metrics. - Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
