Design Manager

About the Role

- Lead and manage the Civil & Structural Design team - Review and approve civil and structural design drawings - Coordinate with architectural, MEP, project management teams - Ensure designs are practical and cost-effective - Monitor design deliverables - Review structural analysis and design calculations - Ensure compliance with applicable IS Codes and standards - Coordinate with consultants, clients, and contractors - Identify design clashes and discrepancies - Review and manage RFI, design changes - Provide technical support to the site team - Conduct design review meetings - Ensure proper documentation and revision control - Monitor design quality and implement quality-control procedures - Support project teams in value engineering - Review shop and fabrication drawings - Mentor and develop junior and senior design engineers - Prepare and monitor design schedules - Identify potential technical risks - Ensure all designs meet required quality and safety standards

Key Skills Required

• strong knowledge of RCC and structural steel design
• good understanding of foundation design
• knowledge of structural analysis and design software
• proficiency in AutoCAD
• strong knowledge of relevant IS Codes and NBC

Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering, Master's Degree in Structural Engineering will be an added advantage.
