About the Role
- Lead preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities for the complete plant. - Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimum breakdown/downtime. - Troubleshoot recurring equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions. - Develop maintenance SOPs, schedules and equipment history. - Monitor equipment condition and reliability. - Lead mechanical projects from concept through installation and commissioning. - Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, cost estimates and project schedules. - Review equipment designs and engineering drawings. - Coordinate with equipment suppliers, contractors and consultants. - Manage installation, fabrication, erection and commissioning activities. - Support plant expansion, capacity enhancement and equipment modification projects. - Prepare weekly, monthly and annual maintenance plans. - Plan and execute plant shutdowns and major equipment overhauls. - Plan manpower, contractors, spares and resources. - Monitor maintenance KPIs and work-order completion. - Maintain equipment history and critical maintenance records. - Conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for recurring equipment failures. - Implement vibration analysis, thermography and other condition-monitoring techniques. - Drive TPM and reliability improvement initiatives. - Identify equipment modifications to improve reliability, productivity and safety. - Drive reduction in breakdowns and maintenance costs. - Identify critical mechanical spares. - Develop and maintain minimum/maximum inventory levels. - Monitor spare consumption. - Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of critical spares. - Lead maintenance engineers, supervisors, fitters, welders and technicians. - Allocate daily maintenance activities and monitor execution. - Develop technician skills and ensure adherence to maintenance standards. - Manage contractors and external maintenance agencies. - Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and statutory requirements. - Implement PTW and LOTO procedures. - Ensure safe execution of maintenance, fabrication, and project activities. - Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
