About the Role
- Take ownership of customer complaints from initial response through troubleshooting, corrective action and closure. - Manage installation, commissioning, inspection, maintenance and performance evaluation of heat exchangers. - Visit customer sites to assess operating conditions and identify root causes of performance issues. - Troubleshoot high pressure drop, low heat transfer, fouling, scaling, leakage, flow issues, gasket failure and component damage. - Analyse temperature, pressure and flow data and compare actual conditions with design requirements. - Supervise PHE opening, plate inspection, cleaning, gasket replacement, reassembly and pressure testing, as applicable. - Supervise welded heat-exchanger inspection, cleaning, flushing, descaling, maintenance and repair activities. - Plan manpower, tools, instruments, spares and consumables required for site execution. - Lead and guide service engineers, technicians, helpers and subcontractors at customer sites. - Coordinate with customers regarding shutdowns, permits, site readiness and service schedules. - Prepare and review service, inspection, commissioning and technical recommendation reports. - Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Production, Sales and Commercial teams for technical and service requirements. - Support service quotations and identify opportunities for spares, refurbishment, AMC and replacement equipment. - Maintain equipment/service history and ensure timely follow-up of pending technical issues. - Develop service procedures, checklists and troubleshooting practices based on field experience. - Ensure safe, timely and quality execution of all service activities.
Key Skills Required
Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
