Sr. Technical Lead (WordPress)

About the Role

- Own the technical execution and architecture of web products. - Champion best practices and mentor the engineering team. - Work closely with product and project managers. - Architect and develop custom complex WordPress-based solutions. - Own and design the architecture and scalability strategy of websites and CMS. - Define, review and enforce software development best practices. - Design and develop new features. - Plan and estimate development activities and track them. - Mentor and upskill team members.

Key Skills Required

• Deep expertise in creating and implementing custom themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks.
• Extensive experience connecting WordPress to third-party services using RESTful APIs and plugins.
• Strong front-end skills, including solid experience with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript libraries such as Bootstrap, jQuery.
• Strong command of code versioning tools – Git – and ticketing tools – JIRA.
• Proven ability to independently architect and deliver complex modules with little to no handholding.
• Experience setting coding standards, conducting code reviews, and driving engineering best practices across a team.
