About the Role
- Oversee attendance, shift management, overtime control, and leave administration for all categories of employees. - Ensure timely payroll processing through accurate data collection and validation. - Coordinate manpower deployment across departments as per production requirements. - Support contract labour management — documentation, attendance, and compliance. - Maintain cordial relations with workers, union representatives (if any), and supervisors. - Handle grievances, absenteeism, and misconduct cases tactfully and as per company policy. - Support disciplinary proceedings, domestic inquiries, and warning/charge sheet processes. - Promote a culture of mutual respect, cooperation, and teamwork on the shop floor. - Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws, Factory Act, ESI, PF, and contract labour regulations. - Maintain statutory registers, records, and returns in coordination with HR Manager and consultants. - Liaise with labour department officials, local authorities, and auditors during inspections or visits. - Plan and execute employee welfare programs and transport management, and health & hygiene initiatives. - Conduct regular toolbox talks, communication meetings, and awareness sessions for plant staff and workers. - Drive initiatives for women employee welfare and workplace safety awareness. - Identify training needs for workers and staff; coordinate skill enhancement, safety, and behavioural training programs. - Support performance management activities and appraisals at the plant level. - Partner with production, maintenance, and EHS teams for manpower planning and adherence to safety standards. - Support in implementing safety campaigns, audits, and zero-incident culture initiatives. - Work closely with the Head of for implementation of all HR policies, audits, and directives. - Provide timely reports, data, and feedback as required by the Head of HR. - Execute special projects, compliance drives, and organizational initiatives as assigned by the Head of HR. - Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for plant-level positions including operators, supervisors, and staff. - Coordinate with consultants, job portals, and internal references to source suitable candidates. - Screen resumes, schedule interviews, and coordinate with department heads for candidate evaluation. - Maintain recruitment trackers, candidate database, and ensure timely closure of open positions. - Support joining formalities, documentation, and onboarding of new employees at the plant. - Ensure manpower availability as per production and operational requirements.
