About the Role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable BI solutions using Looker and LookML. - Create and manage LookML models, views, explores, dimensions, measures, and derived tables to support business reporting requirements. - Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights to business users. - Collaborate with data engineers and architects to define data models and ensure data consistency across reporting environments. - Optimize Looker performance through efficient SQL queries, aggregate awareness, caching strategies, and data model tuning. - Work with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions. - Build reusable semantic layers and governed data models that promote self-service analytics across the organization. - Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across dashboards and reports. - Implement row-level security, user access controls, and governance policies within Looker. - Integrate Looker with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, and PostgreSQL. - Support data validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for reporting and dashboard issues. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance analytics capabilities and improve reporting processes. - Participate in code reviews, deployment processes, and version control management using Git. - Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for LookML models, dashboards, and reporting solutions. - Stay updated with new Looker features, BI technologies, and industry best practices.
Key Skills Required
Qualification
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
