FEA Engineer

About the Role

- Carry out FE analyses using the relevant FE analysis software. - Understand loads, boundary conditions, relevant material properties and product physics. - Execute: FE Calculations, hand calculations using spreadsheet and Mathcad. - Interpret and verify the analysis results according to relevant international codes and standards/Company specification and confirm the structural integrity of the proposed design. - Good knowledge and understanding of relevant international codes and standards such as NORSOK, ISO, DNV, ASME, API, Eurocodes. - Understand Subsea system / sub-system / component level product philosophy. - Identify areas or perform gap analysis in the sub-system / component that need calculation / evaluation. - Prepare presentations and reports for performed analysis.

Key Skills Required

• strong foundation in solid mechanics
• working knowledge of FEA software
• proficiency in handling CAE software like Abaqus / Ansys or Equivalent
• strong competence in execution of Linear and Non-linear structural analysis
• good understanding of FEA / design engineering related governing documents

Qualification

Postgraduate / Graduate degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
