Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Naukri Resume Downloader (Chrome extension and app.safalhires.com/addon) collects and how we use it. It is a recruiter productivity tool: it exports resumes from your own Naukri Recruiter Applies session and/or WorkIndia employer candidate lists (Database, All, Applied, and other lists that include a resume) to a destination you choose. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Naukri / Info Edge or WorkIndia.

1. What we never collect

• We never ask for or store your Naukri password or WorkIndia password.
• Naukri / WorkIndia session cookies stay in your browser. We do not copy them to our servers.
• We do not sell personal data or resume files.

2. Account data we store

When you sign up (email or Google), we store:

• Your name and email
• An API key used by the Chrome downloader
• Downloader credit balance, purchases, and delivery logs (application id, applicant name, job title, destination, time)
• If you pick webhook: the HTTPS URL you pasted, and a signing secret we keep on the server
• If you connect Google Drive: an encrypted refresh token, the Google email you authorised, and folder ids we create under “Naukri Resume Downloader”
• If you connect SafalHires AI summary: the agency connect code result (tenant link), plus the SafalHires login email you entered so the agency can see who synced which job

3. Resume files — where they go

The downloader downloads the resume in your browser from Naukri or WorkIndia, then sends it only to the one destination you selected:

• This computer — the file is saved in your Downloads folder. We do not upload the file to our servers. We only receive metadata (application id, name, job title) so we can deduct one download credit and skip duplicates.
• Google Drive — the file is uploaded to our servers briefly, then written into your Drive (scope drive.file: we can create files in folders we create; we do not ask to read your whole Drive). We do not keep the file on our disk after a successful upload.
• Your ATS webhook — the file is uploaded to our servers, then POSTed to the HTTPS URL you configured (with retries). We do not keep the file after a successful delivery.
• SafalHires AI summary — the file is uploaded to our servers, stored in TeamOB’s staging Drive, and queued for AI matching on the linked SafalHires agency account. It is processed as a candidate resume for that job (scan credits on the agency wallet, not downloader credits). Duplicate Naukri / WorkIndia application ids are skipped.

4. Chrome extension permissions

• storage — saves your API key and settings on this computer.
• activeTab — when you click the downloader icon, it can talk to the Naukri or WorkIndia tab that is open (job title, applicant list, start/stop). It does not read your other browsing history.
• hiring.naukri.com — required to run on Naukri Recruiter pages and fetch resume files you can already open in that session.
• workindia.in and resources.workindia.in — required to run on WorkIndia employer Applied pages and fetch resume PDFs you can already open in that session.
• app.safalhires.com — required to validate your key, credits, destination, and (if you choose) Drive / webhook / SafalHires connect.

A small script on the Naukri or WorkIndia page observes the applicant-list API response so we can list the same applications you already see. It does not log you in or change Naukri’s or WorkIndia’s servers.

5. Google sign-in and Drive

Google Sign-In is used only to create or log into your downloader account (email and name). Connecting Drive is a separate “Allow” step. You can disconnect Drive from the downloader or dashboard. Revoking access in your Google account also stops new Drive uploads.

6. How long we keep data

Account, billing, and delivery logs are kept while the downloader account exists and as required for tax and support. You can ask us to delete the downloader account; we will remove personal account data except records we must keep by law (for example invoices). Resume files on your PC or Drive remain under your control. SafalHires dest resumes follow that agency’s SafalHires retention.

7. Sharing

We share data only with: you (and teammates who use the same API key, if you share it); the destination you picked; payment processors for credit packs; Google (if you use Sign-In or Drive); and hosting/email providers that process data for us. We disclose data if required by Indian law.

8. Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your downloader account data. Email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days. This product is intended for recruiters in India; we handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

9. Children

The downloader is for working recruiters. It is not directed at children.
